Chase Perfectcard Review by Tom

Here is what one of our readers Tom had to say about the Chase Perfectcard from Mastercard

When I was looking to get a new credit card I had decided this time i was going to be with Chase Manhattan Bank, as they had such a large array of credit cards available.

I was checking out your website and saw all the categories you had listed and was blown away by the amount of choice.

I decided to write down exactly what I wanted in a credit card based on my lifestyle. As someone who commutes a lot, having a gas credit card was something I certainly had placed at the top of my priorities. Along with that I wanted to get cashback each time I made a purchase.. basically I wanted my make my cake and eat it.

I decided to go with the Chase PerfectCard simply because it offered a nice 6 % rebtate on all my gas purchases in the first 90 days and then 3% rebate after that when I filled up with gas, and 1% on any regular purchases I made. I realize this isnt as high as some of the American Express card like the Blue but it suits me fine. Some of the other features it comes with are

  • Travel Accident Insurance
  • Purchase Assurance
  • MasterRental® Insurance Coverage
  • Master RoadAssist® Roadside Coverage
  • Lost/Stolen Card Reporting
  • MasterCard Global Service
  • Travel Assistance Services
  • Emergency Cash and Card Replacement
  • Warranty Manager
  • Baggage Delay

I liked the idea of being about to get coverage if I broken down on the way to and from work.
